On this visa you may apply for a package consisting of a preparatory course for example an
English Language course followed by your main University course. If you are applying for a
package course like this, it is important to state this in the visa application.
For this application the visa itself costs only AUD$430,
but you will be required to provide proof to the Australian Immigration Department that you
can pay for your course of study, living expenses, medical insurance, school fees for your
children (if you have a family) and accommodation costs in Australia. There are also regulations
about your health and evidence required to prove that you are a genuine student.
